"A superb weekend, beautifully organized, found the talks enjoyable and vastly informative. We will tell everyone that this festival is worth attending. It's been revivifying to learn so much and see so much beauty."
"One of the parts I appreciated most was meeting an Native American elder (Bill Richards) before our trip down the Smith River. His demeanor, humility and nobility brought alive and deepened the sense of culture and place here. He very touchingly likened the experience of his nearly exterminated people to the Aleutian geese having approached the brink of extinction and now both are rising again. I was so grateful that my child (and I) could hear the truth of history through the voice of this wise elder who conveyed his love of the land without any rancor for the fate of his tribe. Setting out on the river after that was like entering a reflection of the eternal. Thank you for this day."
"I liked best, all of LeValley, best birder I have seen in 20 years birdwatching and taking classes, and that includes the Bay Area."
"Beautifully organized. Easeful programming, careful and brilliant."
"We have been to a few festivals, and this one was a knockout!"
"Immediately upon entering the conference hall I thought, "WOW!" It was very obvious that the community came together on this project. The flying paper birds on the walls all around the rooms... the really thought-provoking and humorous, 'What people can learn from Geese' posters in the restrooms. Believe me these extra touches did NOT go unnoticed."
